loanDepot is hiring a Closing Specialist to provide essential support to our Closing department, focusing on Wires, Funding, or Scheduling. In this role, you will ensure all duties are performed in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.

What You'll Do

Handle receipts and disbursements of borrower and lender funds.
Manage booking incoming wires to the appropriate loan files.
Review the accuracy of all outgoing wires before approving the release of funds.
Audit daily reports to ensure all wires were correctly received and sent.
Assist the funding team lead with banking-related issues.
Scan and upload disbursement documents, such as signed checks and cover letters, into the system.
Manage all signing requests and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
Communicate with lenders, vendors, or notaries regarding scheduling issues.
Assist the closing team lead with signing-related issues.

What We're Looking For

Must be able to commute to Irvine, CA or Rochester, NY full-time. Remote eligibility is based on location and experience.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven experience using Microsoft Office applications.
Self-motivated and able to multi-task effectively with minimal supervision.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice to Have

Mortgage experience is highly preferred.
