About the Role

Brave Health is hiring a Clinical Quality Assurance Specialist to review therapist documentation, ensure compliance, and improve clinical quality standards for our remote mental health services. This part-time role is central to our mission of expanding access to high-quality mental healthcare.

What You'll Do

  • Thoroughly review treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation from associate therapists.
  • Verify documentation is accurate, complete, and complies with all relevant regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Stay current with industry changes affecting documentation requirements and inform the team.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess documentation quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide constructive feedback to associate therapists and collaborate to enhance their documentation.
  • Work closely with clinical supervisors, management, and the leadership team to address documentation quality and compliance issues.
  • Communicate effectively with providers for documentation coaching and revisions prior to co-signature.
  • Relay ongoing and urgent matters to the CCQAM and other appropriate parties.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of all reviews, feedback, and corrective actions taken.
  • Generate reports on the overall quality of documentation and compliance levels.

What We're Looking For

  • Must reside in New York.
  • Must have an active LMHC-D, LCSW, or LMFT-D license.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology).
  • Licensed in a clinical discipline (e.g., LCSW, LMHC-D, LMFT-D).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Licensed, or willing to become licensed, in additional states that Brave Health serves.
  • Enjoys technology and adopts learning new systems well.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Previous experience in behavioral health or therapy documentation.

  • Monday - Friday schedule with no on-call or weekends.

This is a fully remote position. You must be located in New York.
