Tidelands Health was looking for a Clinical Patient Services Representative

Georgetown Hospital System is hiring a Clinical Patient Services Representative to perform key administrative duties supporting the clinical needs of our patients. You will be responsible for providing first call resolution by collaborating with the care team and ensuring timely response to all requests.

What You'll Do

  • Handle incoming calls to clinic to provide patient first call resolution to meet the patients’ requests.
  • Notify care team in an expeditious manner for urgent patient needs per established protocols.
  • Coordinate telehealth appointments and language services with Telemedicine.
  • Facilitate patient portal enrollment and assist with resetting passwords; coordinate technical issues with IT support.
  • Facilitate medical records requests by coordinating with medical records department while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • Certificate as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Diploma as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Demonstrated experience with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Prior experience with interpreting and following detailed policies and workflows.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior experience with Electronic Medical Record in physician office environment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years as a MA/LPN.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, or Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants, or National Certified Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing, or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National Healthcareer Association.

Nice to Have

  • Minimum of two (2) years in a physician office setting.
  • Prior experience scheduling patients.
