Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic testing on biological specimens to identify disease markers
- Interpret laboratory results and communicate findings to healthcare providers
- Conduct postmortem examinations to determine cause and manner of death
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards in laboratory operations
- Provide expert consultation on complex medical cases
- Collaborate with clinicians to guide treatment plans based on pathology data
- Supervise laboratory staff and ensure quality control protocols
- Review medical records and autopsy reports for accuracy
- Support public health investigations when required
