Responsibilities
- Plans and adjusts staffing levels according to patient care demands.
- Delegates patient care responsibilities among the unit team.
- Keeps accurate administrative and regulatory records for the department.
- Coordinates staff training initiatives, including orientation and skill assessments.
- Contributes to annual performance evaluations for team members.
- Supports hiring decisions and provides staff counseling as needed.
- Manages customer service interactions and resolves concerns from patients, families, staff, or physicians.
- Assists in daily unit management tasks.
- Oversees daily operations within established budget guidelines.
- Conducts thorough, systematic assessments of all assigned patients.
- Develops collaborative care plans with defined patient outcomes.
- Implements, monitors, and documents care interventions in line with treatment plans.
- Organizes and prioritizes patient care using available resources efficiently.
- Shows proficiency in age-specific patient assessment, treatment, development knowledge, and communication.
- Engages in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and committee work as required.
