Ortus Health is seeking a Remote Clinical Coder/Workflow Administrator to ensure the precise coding of medical records and clinical data, which is essential for patient care, insurance reimbursement, and regulatory compliance. This role involves close collaboration with healthcare providers to guarantee all diagnoses, procedures, and treatments are coded accurately and on time.
What You'll Do
- Review and analyse clinical documentation to accurately assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using classification systems.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify information and resolve coding discrepancies.
- Stay updated with changes in coding practices and healthcare regulations.
- Generate reports and summaries as needed for auditing and performance analysis.
- Participate in educational opportunities to enhance your coding skills and knowledge.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in clinical coding within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff.
