Role Overview

You will be responsible for translating detailed medical documentation into standardized diagnostic and procedural codes, supporting billing, regulatory compliance, and patient care coordination. Key Responsibilities

  • Examine clinical records thoroughly to assign correct diagnostic and treatment codes using recognized classification systems.
  • Ensure all coding activities follow current regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Work directly with medical staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding inconsistencies.
  • Keep current with evolving coding standards, medical guidelines, and changes in healthcare policy.
  • Produce regular reports for internal audits, compliance checks, and performance tracking.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to maintain coding proficiency.

What You’ll Need

  • Documented experience in clinical coding, ideally within primary care or general practice settings.
  • Deep understanding of medical language, human anatomy, and physiological systems.
  • High level of focus and consistency when handling detailed clinical information.
  • Proven ability to manage workload independently in a remote work environment.
  • Clear and professional communication skills when interacting with clinical teams.

Compensation & Benefits

This full-time position offers an annual salary of £25,400, with part-time options available (minimum 15 hours per week). You'll receive 28 days of paid leave each year, access to a company pension plan, and eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
