Global Changer is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Backend to develop our B2B SaaS platform focused on corporate emission reduction. This role involves designing and building resilient, big-data-ready services that translate directly into climate impact.
What You'll Do
- Conceive, develop, and maintain big-data-ready, resilient services in collaboration with other engineers.
- Participate in pair programming, conduct code reviews, and lead technical spikes.
- Work closely with our CTO, Product Managers, and Sustainability Team to translate customer requirements into new features.
What We're Looking For
- You live in the EU (CET ±3) with a valid work permit.
- Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Excellent knowledge of at least one well-known web framework.
- Hands-on mentality and an agile mindset.
- A passion for addressing the climate crisis and building customer-oriented solutions that deliver real value.
Nice to Have
- German language skills are a plus.
- Ideally, experience with Ruby on Rails.
- A degree in computer science (Bachelor, Master, or Dr.).
- Early-stage startup experience.
Technical Stack
- Front-end: TypeScript, Vue.js 3, Jest, Cypress, Tailwind.
- Back-end: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Golang, NATS, Postgres, Redis, Docker.
- AI: Python, FastAPI, FastStream.
- Hosting: Kubernetes, GitHub, GitHub Actions.
- Automation: Different LLMs.
Team & Environment
You will join a cross-functional team of 11-50 employees, working closely with the CTO, Product Managers, and the Sustainability Team. Our development team focuses on growth, personal and collective reflection, and follows industry-standard agile processes with two-week sprints.
