Role Overview
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help build and refine the backbone of our hosting platform. You’ll work on scalable backend systems, design APIs, and contribute to infrastructure improvements that support thousands of users. Your work will directly impact system performance, reliability, and the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to meet evolving infrastructure demands
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to understand customer needs and deliver effective solutions
- Respond to operational escalations and support system stability when issues arise
- Identify opportunities to optimize performance, security, and scalability across the platform
- Contribute to continuous improvement through code reviews, testing, and Agile practices
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience building and maintaining backend applications in production environments
- At least four years of software development experience, with a focus on backend systems
- Solid background in object-oriented programming, particularly with Ruby
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including continuous integration and automated testing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a self-directed team setting
- Commitment to ongoing learning and technical growth
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Security-minded approach to software development
- Experience with container orchestration tools such as Rancher or Docker Swarm
- Knowledge of database design and optimization using MySQL or Redis
- Background in DevOps or system administration on Linux platforms
