We are looking for a Claims Examiner - Liability to analyze complex or technically difficult general liability claims to determine benefits due. In this remote role, you will work with high exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation, ensuring ongoing adjudication within service expectations and industry best practices.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and process complex or technically difficult general liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
- Manage claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution.
- Assess liability and resolve claims within evaluation.
- Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
- Calculate and assign timely and appropriate reserves to claims; manage reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
- Identify subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
- Adjudicate complex customer claims.
- Deliver innovative customer-facing solutions to clients.
What We're Looking For
- 10 years of litigation experience.
- 5 years of fire damage claim experience.
- Bodily Injury claim handling experience required (Non-Auto).
- Xactimate Estimating experience.
- NY Adjusters license required or will need to obtain within 90 days of start of employment.
- Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Nice to Have
- Product liability experience.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business.
