Sedgwick is looking for a Claims Examiner, Bodily Injury | Auto to analyze and process complex auto and commercial transportation claims. In this remote role, you’ll review coverage, complete investigations, determine liability, and evaluate damages, while managing the litigation process.
What You'll Do
- Process complex auto commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury, ensuring proper documentation and coding.
- Manage the litigation process on litigated claims.
- Coordinate vendor management, including independent adjusters for claim investigations.
- Report large claims to excess carriers.
- Develop action plans to meet state contact deadlines and move files toward resolution.
- Identify and pursue subrogation, risk transfer opportunities, and salvage.
- Communicate claim actions with insured parties, clients, and agents.
What We're Looking For
- Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies, coverages, principles, and laws.
- Knowledge of medical terminology for claim evaluation and Medicare compliance.
- Understanding of deductibles, sub-limits, SIR’s, and carrier programs.
- Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
- PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and meet service expectations.
- Secure and maintain required State adjusting licenses.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification applicable to the line of business.
