Chief Signalling Expert – Nagpur Metro
Role Overview
This senior position leads the signalling component within a metro rail General Consultant team. The expert ensures safe, compliant, and efficient implementation of advanced signalling technologies across urban rail infrastructure in India. The role focuses on technical leadership, system integration, and adherence to international standards including CBTC, ERTMS, and ETCS.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess Detailed Project Reports for signalling integration with AFC, telecom, and platform screen door systems.
- Develop procurement plans, evaluate bids, and verify design compliance with technical specifications.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and statutory approvals, ensuring quality and safety benchmarks are met.
- Supervise on-site implementation, track progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Support client teams through knowledge transfer and technical training initiatives.
- Ensure all work aligns with applicable metro signalling standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in railway signalling systems.
- Engineering degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Proven ability to manage contractors and coordinate complex metro signalling projects.
Technical Expertise
Experience with CBTC, ERTMS, ETCS, AFC systems, platform screen doors, and telecom integration in urban rail environments.
Work Environment
