MiWay is looking for a ChatBot Developer to join our Business Process Innovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and optimizing sophisticated chatbot conversational journeys using platforms like Genesys Cloud, CoPilot, and Infobip. Your work will directly automate customer communication and self-service, driving sustainable and intuitive solutions that enhance the customer experience.

What You'll Do

Leverage chat and chatbot technology to enhance operational efficiency and align with MiWay's strategic objectives.
Drive the execution of the Chatbot technology roadmap across various digital channels like WhatsApp, Web, App, and Social Media.
Collaborate with business teams to plan, analyze, design, and develop innovative chatbot flows.
Maintain and optimize the chatbot platform to meet evolving business needs.
Integrate chatbot solutions with multiple internal and external platforms.
Perform end-to-end testing of Chatbot Journeys.
Identify and fix bugs or issues within chatbot flows.
Pro-actively monitor performance and identify opportunities for enhancements.
Analyze and interpret chatbot conversations, patterns, and user flows.
Enhance the end-user experience of all chatbot journeys.
Apply best practices in conversational design to ensure interactions feel natural, helpful, and aligned with the MiWay brand.
Participate in a formalized, rotating on-call schedule to provide technical support outside standard business hours.

What We're Looking For

Matric certificate.
Relevant IT degree or 3-year diploma (preferably a BSc).
Good understanding or experience with AI-powered chatbots using ML, LLM, and NLP technology.
Strong analytical skills and programming logic.
Sound understanding of chatbot architecture.
Excellent communication skills.
A self-driven learning mindset to research and advocate for new Conversational AI technologies.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
Solution-driven with the ability to adapt to change.
Proficiency in using Postman or similar tools for API testing and troubleshooting.

Nice to Have

Genesys Cloud AI Digital Bots or Infobip Answers related certifications.
Any experience working on a chatbot development platform.
Development experience using JavaScript, JSON, and Rest APIs.
Working knowledge of SQL and Conversational UI/UX.
