Responsibilities
- Check the levels, alignment, and elevation of installations
- Collect material samples for laboratory testing
- Inspect the quality of finished installations to ensure they meet standards and approve them
- Explain plans and specifications to contractors and discuss any deviations from construction procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
- Record quantities of materials received or used during specific periods, and prepare pay estimates and change orders
- Keep a daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports
- Monitor multiple types of work activities
- Ensure construction safety practices and work methods are followed
- Manage documents using electronic platforms such as e-Builder or Procore
