Oliver & Bonacini is hiring a Catering Manager

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business prospects and opportunities through direct outreach and cold calling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts at partner venues.
  • Expand the list of venues offering catering services.
  • Handle inquiries by scheduling discovery calls and preparing tailored proposals to secure event leads.
  • Develop creative, themed, and budget-friendly proposals that meet client needs and deadlines.
  • Travel to various locations for property inspections and client consultations as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors to arrange event details, including rentals, floral arrangements, DJ services, and decorations.
  • Communicate event specifics and client requirements to the culinary and operations team.
  • Ensure all event-related expenses are reconciled and submit accurate fee reports.
  • Follow up with clients post-event to gather feedback and identify opportunities for future bookings.
  • Participate in bi-weekly sales forecasting and work towards achieving annual sales targets.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as invoicing, accounting, printing, report generation, email and voicemail management, and client database maintenance.

  • Seek new business opportunities for the unit & department focusing on prospects & cold calling
  • Support the relationship development of our key contacts at catering partner venues.
  • Actively seek new venue catering lists for O&B to join
  • Respond to inquiries by setting up discovery calls to prepare impactful proposals that will help secure event leads.
  • Provide creative proposals that are on theme, on budget and on time.
  • Travel to destinations for property walkthroughs and client meetings as required.
  • Liaise with all vendors to create an event, which may include: event rentals, florals, DJ services & décor.
  • Communicate event details and client needs with O&B culinary & operations team
  • Ensure all receipts are reconciled post event and landmark fee reports are submitted
  • Follow up with clients using information from post events creating opportunity for new bookings and Moment of Truth
  • Contribute to bi-weekly sales forecasting and working to reach annual sales goals.
  • General administrative tasks may include but are not limited to: invoicing, general accounting, printing, sending reports, maintaining emails & voicemails, filing and upkeep of client database
