Alcon Pharmaceuticals Ltd is seeking a Cataract Refractive Manager to accelerate the adoption of premium and base intraocular lens (IOL) technologies. In this role, you will combine strong clinical acumen with practice‑development support to deliver exceptional outcomes for patients and clinics. You will be a key driver for new product launches and customer education in the region.
What You'll Do
- Participate in national launch strategy formulation and orchestrate regional tactical execution.
- Educate and train physicians, clinical personnel, and OR staff on Alcon ATIOL and base lenses to ensure successful patient outcomes.
- Answer a wide range of questions concerning product applications and clinical techniques related to lens implants.
- Provide ongoing support on patient selection, biometry calculation, keratometry, IOL selection, and reimbursement.
- Demonstrate clinical competence and product knowledge to physicians, nurses, and technicians during presentations.
- Support Account Managers' business plan execution through excellent presentations and by identifying further training needs.
- Assist 20-25 key target accounts in maximizing their business potential through practice development initiatives.
- Provide practice-development services to prepare clinics for the successful adoption of Alcon Refractive IOL technologies.
- Manage effective expenditure of company resources.
- Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner, including CRM updates.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to define regional targets and support regional marketing plans.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of pharmaceutical, medical, or surgical sales experience; ophthalmic experience is preferred.
- Clinical competence with an understanding of cataract/refractive procedures.
- Strong communication, presentation, and business‑acumen skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems.
- Must reside in the Greater Vancouver or Victoria Island area.
- Ability to travel up to 40% within the territory, with additional North America travel and evening/weekend commitments possible.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Commerce degree.
- Surgical ophthalmology selling experience.
- Practice‑development or new‑technology launch experience.
