Matrix Camps and Logistics is hiring a Carpenter (Journeyperson/Red Seal) for remote camp construction projects. In this fly-in/fly-out role, you will be a detail-focused team member playing a key part in completing camp builds, reporting to the Camp or Operations Manager. What You'll Do
- Perform framing, forming, finishing, and installations as required.
- Conduct site preparation and clean-up, including rubbish removal.
- Apply building code regulations related to work-site construction and repairs.
- Assist in completing all necessary documentation per process and protocol to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Provide quality workmanship consistent with industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Participate in daily Toolbox meetings.
- Support monthly worksite inspections.
- Perform tasks according to safe work practices and procedures.
- Notify management of unsafe practices or environments.
- Report all incidents and accidents immediately.
- Act as a high-performing team member.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a construction field or camp position.
- Certified Journeyman Carpenter (Red Seal) or equivalent trade experience.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work a rotational schedule.
- Ability to work independently and follow a daily work schedule.
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Able to walk, stand for long periods, and perform physical labor.
- Ability to maintain performance over a 10-12 hour shift.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Camp Manager or Operations Manager.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $450-$550 per day, depending on experience.
- All travel paid, including travel days and per diems when deployed to certain field projects.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position at remote camp locations, operating on a fly-in/fly-out rotational schedule.
