The Earth Quaker Action Team (EQAT) is hiring a Campaign Director to lead volunteer teams in executing strategic tactics for our climate justice campaign. This role co-leads the organization with the Operations Director to meet board-set goals and vision, focusing on external partnerships, strategic campaign advancement, and internal membership and skills building. EQAT is a faith-based, intergenerational activist group that uses nonviolent direct action for environmental, economic, and racial justice.
What You'll Do
- Provide support and coaching to experienced volunteers to step into increased leadership.
- Identify needs for continuing education and design and lead trainings to meet those needs.
- Ensure the organization and members are continually learning and growing from experiences.
- Provide resources, coaching, and direction to volunteer groups within EQAT.
- Analyze campaign work and target response to fit the larger campaign landscape.
- Hold and guide planning and execution of 6-12 month strategic plans (strategy arcs).
- Provide support to the Board for strategic decisions on organizational resources.
- Tend to existing organizational relationships with frontline communities, climate groups, faith-based groups, etc.
- Serve as a public face of EQAT's campaign along with board co-clerks.
- Regularly communicate strategy analysis to volunteers and supporters.
- Manage the organization's public narrative across press, newsletters, website, and social media.
What We're Looking For
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Philadelphia metropolitan region.
Team & Environment
You will co-supervise and be co-supervised by the Operations Director. You will also receive supervision from the board via the Staff Supervisor and Personnel Committee. EQAT is a primarily volunteer-led organization.
Work Mode
This is a local-city role based in the Philadelphia metropolitan region.
