IGT is looking for a C++ Game Developer to build the games that power our video lottery terminals. You'll create thrilling, responsible, and unforgettable gaming experiences by implementing everything from visuals and sound to core game logic across multiple platforms.
What You'll Do
- Create engaging games for video lottery terminals.
- Implement visuals, sounds, win/lose calculations, and specific game features and mechanics.
- Build games targeting both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Work with technologies like OpenGL, BINK, and XML for the visual part of game creation.
- Integrate with libraries and frameworks supporting interfaces for bill acceptors, mechanical inputs, player cards, online subsystems, and touch screens.
- Work on modern applications and service existing ones built on older technologies.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming.
- 1 year or more of hands-on C++ work experience.
- Any prior work with game frameworks.
- Affinity towards multimedia, graphics, animation, and sound handling.
- Solid technical English proficiency.
- Good team playing and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- OpenGL experience and understanding of shaders.
- Skills in C# and Unity.
- Experience creating apps with run-time modules like dynamic link libraries.
- Understanding the challenges of writing code for multiple platforms.
