EMD Serono is hiring a Business Process Owner to lead the optimization of our global Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework. As part of a company dedicated to sparking discovery and elevating humanity, you will shape a unified approach to managing third-party risk from intake to offboarding, enhancing procurement operations worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Drive the standardization and simplification of TPRM processes, working collaboratively with stakeholders across Procurement, Legal, Compliance, and Risk to create a unified global framework.
- Design and maintain a comprehensive TPRM framework that aligns with Merck policies and meets compliance obligations.
- Embed TPRM practices into procurement and contracting workflows, ensuring risk considerations are effectively applied.
- Manage TPRM tool requirements, focusing on data quality and user adoption to improve overall process efficiency.
- Communicate process changes, govern deviations, and develop training materials to foster understanding and compliance across the organization.
- Define and track TPRM KPIs, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvements in risk management and operational performance.
- Prepare impactful presentations and decision papers for senior leadership, ensuring alignment on priorities and risk management strategies.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, law, risk management).
- 5+ years of experience in TPRM, operational risk, compliance, or procurement governance, with a focus on the third-party lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of regulatory implications for third-party relationships, with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex risk topics into clear business decisions.
