Hitachi Rail is looking for a Business Intelligence Intern to join our team for a 4 to 8-month term. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining BI reports and dashboards that support the objectives of our global Engineering organization.
What You'll Do
- Produce and maintain dashboards that analyze the performance and operations of the Engineering department.
- Manage legacy budget estimation and maintenance.
- Produce Software Gate inputs.
- Semi-automate SW release works for legacy projects.
- Organize and manage ZC-SW daily tasks and assignments.
What We're Looking For
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analysis, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Experience in preparing and giving presentations.
- Experience in producing Dashboards.
- Experience in UI/UX Design and Data Analysis.
- Ability to work 40 hours a week in a hybrid environment, with at least 2 days a week in the office.
Nice to Have
- A co-op student available for a 4 or 8 month term, with at least one additional quarter or semester of coursework remaining.
- Previous co-op work experience or relevant school projects.
- Basic experience with scripting languages like Perl and Python.

You will join the Hitachi Rail Urban Rail Signaling business line, a global team with over 800 Engineers in multiple centers and approximately 5000 Engineers spanning various disciplines.
