1Password is hiring a Business Development Representative to build our sales pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification. As the first point of contact for prospects, you will lay the foundation for sales conversations and partnerships at our Toronto location.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively identify and engage prospects through strategic outbound prospecting including cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling.
- Qualify inbound leads from marketing efforts, understanding their needs and determining fit.
- Conduct engaging conversations to understand business challenges and communicate our value.
- Research target accounts to create effective outreach strategies and maximize engagement.
- Build a qualified pipeline for Account Executives and ensure a smooth transition in the sales process.
- Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions within our CRM system.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and sales managers to prioritize outreach and refine approaches.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified opportunities.
- Continuously learn about our products, services, and market to communicate value effectively.
- Utilize feedback from coaching sessions to refine outreach and objection-handling techniques.
What We’re Looking For
- For an entry-level SMB role: 0-1+ years of relevant customer-facing experience, preferably in sales.
- For Commercial and Enterprise roles: 2+ years of successful customer-facing experience with a track record in outbound sales or lead generation.
- Genuine interest in a sales career and understanding of the sales process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to articulate ideas and build rapport.
- Business acumen with a foundational grasp of how businesses operate and their common challenges.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and aptitude for learning new technology.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and committed to achieving targets while thriving in a remote environment.
- Curious and coachable, with the ability to embrace and apply feedback to improve.

- Compensation for an entry-level SMB role is $57,000-$77,000 CAD annually. For Commercial and Enterprise roles: $65,000-$87,000 CAD annually.
