RateHawk, a leading travel-tech brand within the Emerging Travel Group, is seeking a Business Development Manager to own and grow the Campania region in Italy. You will be responsible for driving sales, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base. This role involves significant business travel within the region to sign new partners, manage accounts, and consolidate our market presence.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement sales activities and hit the sales targets to achieve growth and expand presence in assigned territory.
- Sign up new partners (tour operators, travel agencies, travel management companies, OTAs) and provide them with extended training of our system.
- Build and maintain a strong, long-lasting relationship with new and existing partners.
- Account management of an assigned portfolio of partners, including the first level of support.
- Follow-up with existing partners to provide system training and identify the ways to improve the cooperation.
- Prepare, execute and manage the commercial deals with the partners, including the execution of required document flow and technical setup.
- Control of compliance with commercial conditions by partners, including the payment flow.
- Spend approximately 40-50% of your working time on business trips, including meetings with clients, industry events, and other business-related events.
- Provide market & competitive environment analysis.
- Provide regular comprehensive reporting through CRM and internal systems.
- Initiate API deals with potential and existing partners.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or Sales Manager in the travel industry, ideally within the Italian market.
- Deep understanding of the travel distribution landscape (tour operators, travel agencies, TMCs, OTAs).
- Established network of contacts within the Campania region's travel industry is a significant advantage.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent relationship management and account management abilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and manage a territory.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (40-50% of time) within Campania and occasionally outside the region.
- Fluent in Italian and professional proficiency in English.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reporting.
