As our new Business Development Manager, you'll lead a growing team responsible for introducing our PostgreSQL platform to new customers. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll start by managing a small team of BDRs and shape our outbound strategy. Think of it as part thought leadership, part strategic innovation — incorporating AI, cutting-edge tools, and smart automation.
You'll report directly to the CRO and play a critical role in building the team, processes, and experience that define TigerData's first impressions. We're searching for a player-coach who combines creative modern selling, deep customer empathy, team culture magic, and scalable systems — someone who brings both methodical structure and genuine heart to outbound sales.
This is a remote role, open to candidates in North American time zones. English fluency is a must.
**What you will be responsible for in this role:**
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of Business Development Representatives
- Build scalable, repeatable outbound processes and playbooks
- Champion AI tools to supercharge team productivity and engagement
- Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to elevate lead quality and pipeline efficiency
- Create a world-class first-touch experience for prospective customers
- Foster a team culture centered on curiosity, performance, and continuous growth
- Own and report on key metrics like meetings booked, conversion rates, and outbound ROI
- Recruit, onboard, and develop future outbound talent as we scale
**You could be a great fit if you:**
- Have 3+ years leading outbound sales or BDR teams in B2B SaaS
- Are curious about AI and get excited about making work more effective (and fun)
- Have managed both internal teams and external vendor relationships
- Come from a developer tools or infrastructure background, especially with databases or cloud-native products
- Love building; you bring structure to ambiguity and scale to what works

- Communicate strongly and build trust across departments
- Consistently test, iterate, and adapt quickly — scaling wins and killing ineffective approaches
