NECSWS is hiring a Business Consultant to focus on Control Room products and services for the UK Public Sector, specifically Policing & Fire customers. In this role, you will deliver high-quality consultancy, act as a subject matter expert, and help develop new consultancy offerings.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high quality consultancy to UK Police and Fire Services customers, with a strong emphasis on NECSWS Control Room Products and Service Implementations.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the delivery and configuration of NECSWS Control Room products.
- Engage with customers to understand operational requirements, identify gaps, and recommend solutions that align with their needs.
- Deliver consultancy and support in multiple formats including on-site, virtual, and through tailored documentation.
- Carry out presentations and demonstrations for delegates as required.
- Lead and contribute to the development of new consultancy offerings for newly developed software and services.
- Make recommendations relating to best use of NECSWS software in line with the client’s business needs.
- Ensure all consultancy is delivered effectively and achieves positive customer feedback.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with products and services, feeding back any issues to internal stakeholders.
- Progress and update your knowledge of NECSWS products and services.
- Extend your own and other consultancy team members’ capability through internal training and mentoring.
What We're Looking For
- Practical consultancy experience in UK Control Room environments, ideally within police or fire and rescue organisations or their technology suppliers.
- Proven expertise and up-to-date knowledge in one or more business areas: Control Room Command and Control Systems, Computer Aided Dispatch Systems (CAD), Integrated Communication Systems, Incident & Case Management Systems, Data Migration & Systems Integration.
- Understanding of UK public safety operations, including legislative and compliance considerations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience delivering presentations to operational and technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of working independently and managing multiple engagements concurrently.
- Awareness of project delivery methodologies such as Prince2 or Agile.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the UK as required.
