Aon Corporation is hiring a Broker I within our Life Sciences Practice. In this role, you will broker and place specialized insurance products for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, managing end-to-end placements from market selection to policy delivery.
What You'll Do
- Broker and place Clinical Trials, Products Liability, Errors & Omissions Liability, and Excess Liability insurance.
- Market new and renewal business, handling all aspects of placements from initial market selection through policy delivery.
- Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients and prospects.
- Ensure timely and correct handling of all placements.
- Build productive relationships with key insurance underwriters and Aon local office teams.
- Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures.
- Coordinate with other internal units to meet customer needs.
- Create presentations such as Renewal Strategies and Coverage Proposals.
- Plan, schedule, resource, and execute complex projects and programs.
- Interact frequently with senior-level colleagues and clients.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- A minimum of 3+ years of insurance brokerage and/or underwriting experience.
- Effective working knowledge of carrier underwriting practices and processes.
- Proven client-facing skills including effective presentations and communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various organizational levels.
- Ability to independently manage a dynamic book of clients.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must maintain appropriate broker’s and Surplus Lines licenses.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent industry experience.
