Broadcom is looking for a Brocade SAN Engineer to function as a key member of our Global Support organization. You will be assigned to directly support our most important customers, working hand-in-hand with Brocade Support and Engineering teams. This role requires strong customer-facing skills and a deep background in Storage Area Networking.
What You'll Do
- Proactively engage with customers to support their SAN infrastructure, understand current and future requirements, and successfully mitigate risks.
- Schedule and provide regular Customer Operational Reviews to assigned Premier Accounts.
- Directly manage critical or high-visibility situations, project managing account recovery activities.
- Work closely with the customer to understand and document their SAN Fabric design and interoperability matrix.
- Respond promptly to customer needs and act as the lead on all customer communication during events.
- Work with the customer to ensure inventory accuracy and assist internal teams with support contract renewals and account growth.
- Analyze, provide recommendations, and drive actions based on reporting from a Customer Operating Environment.
- Develop and maintain Brocade customer operational procedures documentation.
- Maintain current industry trends, competition, and technical and product knowledge.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience.
- In-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, specifically storage area networking (SAN).
- Demonstrated SAN domain experience.
- A customer-focused approach with a record of developing successful relationships.
- Expertise in MS Office / Google Suite.
- A record of successfully managing complex IT projects.
- The ability to rapidly adapt and adopt new technologies.
- Excellent customer communication (verbal and written), problem-solving, planning, and organization skills.
- A collaborative mindset, able to work cross-functionally in a rapidly changing organization.
Nice to Have
- Brocade associate and professional certifications.
- Additional language proficiency at a business level.
- Successful implementations of current-generation SAN products, especially Brocade products.
- Experience implementing and customizing monitoring tools and features in SAN products.
- Experience with OpenSSL and certificate implementation.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows server implementations.
