Series Entertainment is seeking a Brazilian Portuguese Linguistic Translator contractor for a project team. In this mid-level role, you will be critical for ensuring project content resonates authentically with a diverse audience by providing accurate and culturally appropriate translation and localization.

What You'll Do

Translate and localize project-specific content from English to Brazilian Portuguese and vice-versa, including in-game text and marketing materials.
Ensure all project translations are linguistically accurate, culturally appropriate, and maintain original intent, tone, and style.
Support linguistic reviews and quality assurance of project-related translated materials to identify and correct errors.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of project-specific glossaries and translation memories.
Collaborate closely with project managers and game designers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality translations.
Participate in localization testing to ensure translated content is correctly integrated and displayed within products.
Research and stay up-to-date with linguistic trends, cultural nuances, and best practices in translation and localization.

What We're Looking For

A minimum of 3-4 years of proven professional experience as a translator or linguist, specializing in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
Native-level fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and excellent proficiency in English, with a deep understanding of cultural nuances in both languages.
Experience with localization platforms.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all linguistic tasks.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Brazilian Portuguese.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Problem-solving mindset, identifying issues and proposing effective solutions.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
