HireHawk is looking for a Bookkeeper to support accounting operations for a portfolio of e-commerce and consumer brand clients. You will be a detail-oriented and proactive member of the team, responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and supporting month-end close while working closely with an Accounting Manager and directly with clients.
What You'll Do
- Code daily transactions accurately in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including using Bill.com.
- Record payroll entries and accruals.
- Support month-end close activities.
- Assist with financial reporting and client deliverables.
- Communicate with clients via Slack and email.
- Participate in client calls in a support capacity.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP), payroll processing, and journal entries.
- Proven experience with account reconciliations.
- Experience supporting month-end close.
- Ability to manage work across multiple clients simultaneously.
- Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Strong Excel skills, comfortable with formulas and data handling.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
- Experience working in a multi-client environment.
- Strong communication skills with client-facing experience.
Nice to Have
- E-commerce accounting experience, preferably with Shopify or Amazon.
- Deep experience with Shopify/Amazon reconciliations.
- Exposure to inventory accounting.
