Company is hiring a Blade Service Technician to perform and supervise composite blade repairs and inspections for wind turbines. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety and site regulations while coordinating the full repair cycle and preparing detailed service documentation.
What You'll Do
- Perform and check composite blade repairs according to specified instructions.
- Prepare applicable service documentation and reports including details of repairs.
- Ensure EHS compliance with all GE, local, and regulatory obligations during execution.
- Ensure customer site rules, company regulations, policies, and procedures are always followed.
- Conduct periodic blade inspections.
- Communicate engineering issues for blades.
- Follow up on all blade issues internally and externally.
- Follow up on repairs.
- Follow up on all ongoing Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
- Organize blade repair by following correct procedure.
- Prepare excellent reports.
- Supervise job execution of third-party technicians when requested and coordinate assigned repair activity.
- Direct, optimize, and coordinate the full order cycle.
- Keep track of quality, costs, and efficiency.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Professional Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Education.
- Capability to understand mechanical and electrical diagrams.
- Willingness to travel abroad more than 90% of working time.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years experience with laminate repairs, with blade repairs preferred.
- Rope Access Certification.
- Proven experience in leading a field service team.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Access.
- Basic Workplace First Aid certification.
