International SOS Government Medical Services is hiring a Biomedical Specialist to ensure the safety, functionality, and longevity of medical equipment used in military operations. Based in Israel, you will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations, collaborating with medical personnel to directly support mission readiness and patient care.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and execute all Maintenance and Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) program requirements for assigned equipment.
- Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair all assigned medical and non-medical equipment according to industry standards and manufacturer guidance.
- Perform required maintenance actions within assigned equipment’s due date month to ensure the highest level of readiness.
- Maintain physical records, perform acceptance work orders, and submit repair parts requests to return unserviceable equipment to a ready state.
- Coordinate funds requests and site actions for non-warranty-covered work.
- Arrange for preventative maintenance and repair of equipment assets not within local capabilities after Government funding approval.
- Manage medical equipment recalls within established timelines.
- Use established monthly reporting methods to report status to the Program Manager.
- Notify the Program Manager of any damaged or missing equipment.
- Follow manufacturer and local guidelines for determining equipment end-of-life actions.
- Ensure availability and control of spare parts, test equipment, and tools.
- Comply with local safety program requirements at each site location.
- Abide by all established security regulations and OPSEC procedures.
- Complete required organizational compliance education, including client-specified requirements for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification.
What We're Looking For
- Experience managing initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, maintenance, life cycle management, and repair of medical equipment within OEM guidance and applicable regulations.
- Ability to meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a required security clearance.
- Ability to relocate to Israel.
- A valid Passport from country of record with at least 18 months before expiration at time of hire, and ability to maintain a current passport during stay in Israel.
Nice to Have
- An accredited bachelor's degree (desired but may not be required if minimum requirements are met).
- A current security clearance.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Program Manager and will be responsible for providing regular status updates on equipment readiness.
