WSP USA Inc. is looking for a BIM Technician to deliver high-quality Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) drawing documentation and BIM models. In this role, you will utilize Revit MEP and AutoCAD, working closely with engineering teams to manage production and adhere to our established standards and QA processes.
What You'll Do
- Deliver quality drawing documentation for MEPF services, including managing QA and team coordination.
- Produce BIM Models for Mechanical, Electrical, and PH services using Revit MEP.
- Switch to AutoCAD to prepare MEP design drawings as project requirements dictate.
- Prepare plant room layouts, sections, details, and coordinated services drawings.
- Agree on priorities and deadlines for drawing and model production with the Project Engineer or CAD Manager.
- Provide input on the coordination of engineering services across projects.
- Develop general arrangement drawings from engineers' sketches and other design details.
- Discuss and agree on setting out and building services details with team members.
- Complete design sketches for inclusion in tender documents for small or routine work.
- Produce work to specified WSP CAD standards and suggest revisions as appropriate.
- Use templates and CAD/BIM library items to assist design work.
- Share knowledge and best practices with teammates.
- Follow QA, document control, archiving, and CDM guidelines on all work.
- Work collaboratively with project team members on specified aspects of the project.
- Ensure all relevant standards and guides are used in accordance with WSP QA processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Typically, 4-8 years’ relevant experience.
- Ability to undertake key technical tasks independently across small to medium profile projects.
- Developing 3D Revit skills.
- Demonstrated ability to apply company standards, BIM Protocol and Process.
- Ability to prepare 2D Revit documentation aligned with company standards and BIM Protocol.
Nice to Have
- Working towards engineering registration within your jurisdiction.
