Race Communications is hiring a Billing Specialist to join our call center team, ensuring high customer satisfaction by managing and streamlining billing processes. In this role, you’ll be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, resolving billing discrepancies, taking billing inquiry calls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our billing systems.
What You'll Do
- Process billing transactions accurately and timely using billing software or systems.
- Generate and distribute invoices to customers based on billing schedules and agreements.
- Ensure billing information is entered correctly, including rates, quantities, discounts, and taxes.
- Review billing data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting errors.
- Verify billing documents against contracts, purchase orders, and other relevant records.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and customer inquiries promptly.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers to clarify billing details.
- Maintain accurate billing records, documentation, and supporting files for audit purposes.
- Organize and archive billing documents per company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Generate billing reports and analyses to track activities, monitor balances, and identify trends.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting departments on billing-related matters.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding billing inquiries.
What We're Looking For
- Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in billing or accounting.
- Familiarity with electronic filing systems such as OneDrive or Google Drive.
- Skilled in using CRM systems and practices for managing billing processes, customer accounts, and data accuracy.
- Must be able to type 35 WPM.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension).
- Proficient use of MS Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; teleconferencing applications.
- Functional use of common office equipment, computers, and office software.
Nice to Have
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Familiarity with SalesForce.
- Proficiency in Spanish Language.
