McLaren Health Care was looking for a Biller

McLaren Health Care is hiring a Medical Biller to manage the accurate and timely billing cycle for physical therapy services. Your work will ensure proper coding, claim submission, and reimbursement while maintaining strict compliance with payer requirements and healthcare regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims for physical therapy services to commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10, and modifier usage specific to therapy services.
  • Monitor and follow up on unpaid or denied claims in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and rejected claims.
  • Post payments, adjustments, and patient payments accurately in the billing system.
  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and reimbursement issues.
  • Work with front office and clinical staff to obtain necessary documentation for billing.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state healthcare billing regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Assist with patient billing inquiries and explain statements when needed.
  • Maintain organized billing records and documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of medical billing experience.

Nice to Have

  • Associate degree in healthcare administration, medical billing, or a related field.
  • Experience in physical therapy or rehabilitation services.

Technical Stack

  • CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
  • Electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software

Team & Environment

You'll work closely with therapists, front office staff, and insurance companies.
