At NECSWS, we are looking for a Bid Writer to craft persuasive and well-structured propositions, proposals, and tender documents. Your work will align with strategic goals, resonate with potential customers, and play a pivotal role in winning new business and driving our growth.
What You'll Do
- Develop high-quality written content for bids, proposals, and tender documents that effectively articulate the solution, benefits, and value proposition.
- Ensure bid content aligns with NEC messaging, branding, and strategic objectives while addressing specific requirements.
- Tailor content to meet the unique needs and preferences of each potential client or contract opportunity.
- Write compelling narratives that highlight NEC’s strengths, differentiators, and capabilities while addressing client pain points.
- Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Subject Matter Experts to gather input and insights.
- Collaborate closely with the solution lead to ensure the proposed solution fits the customer need and create strong content.
- Collaborate with the proposition lead to leverage resources for updated best practices and relevant content.
- Work closely with the assigned Bid Manager to manage bid timelines and ensure content is completed, reviewed, and submitted within deadlines.
- Collect feedback and insights from tender outcomes to continuously improve content, processes, and win rates.
- Ensure all content meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and accuracy.
- Ensure all responses and feedback are recorded in line with knowledge management processes and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a proposition, proposal and bid writer and reviewer with a successful track record of crafting persuasive bid content, proposals, and tender documents.
- Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail and grammar.
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Familiarity with bid management processes and knowledge management systems.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software, including emerging AI enabled tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment including Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Subject Matter Experts.
- Excellent project management and deadline management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience collecting and implementing feedback to improve bid content and win rates.
