Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Google Looker, including user access, data models, dashboards, and user-specific settings
- Design and implement LookML structures, dashboards, and data visualizations
- Develop basic and advanced Looks, combine queries, and optimize system performance
- Build and sustain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Create and manage SQL Server components such as T-SQL scripts, views, CTEs, functions, and stored procedures
- Write SQL routines to transfer and transform data across data marts
- Conduct data analysis to assess data quality and completeness
- Verify data marts and dashboards by comparing them with source systems
- Define and document business logic and operational workflows
- Develop and run test cases to validate data and reporting functionality
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to data, dashboards, and reports; respond to data inquiries
- Gather and record requirements for data marts, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Produce technical documentation and user guides; train end users on Looker features and effective usage
- Ensure proper handling of confidential information, including identification and masking of personally identifiable information (PII)
- Perform leadership tasks when required, such as mentoring, assigning work, reviewing code, and setting priorities
