Shape the future of energy storage by providing technical advisory services for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the UK and Europe. In this client-facing role, you’ll deliver independent engineering assessments, technical due diligence, and Owner’s Engineer support from project development through to operational phases.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical reviews of BESS system designs, EPC agreements, and project documentation
- Conduct site inspections and evaluate engineering performance and risks
- Support investors and lenders during financial close with detailed technical analysis
- Prepare clear, actionable reports and presentations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences
- Manage advisory projects including scope, timelines, and budget delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen advisory capabilities across asset management and operations
What We’re Looking For
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
- Proven experience in renewable energy, energy storage, or infrastructure consulting
- Direct involvement in technical due diligence, owner’s engineer roles, or advisory projects
- Strong understanding of BESS technologies and project lifecycle stages
- Experience reviewing contracts, technical designs, and performance data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to evolving client needs
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits
- Familiarity with investor-focused technical reviews is an advantage
