APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is hiring a Benefits Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our health and welfare benefit plans and programs. In this role, you will be responsible for implementations, compliance, vendor relationships, and supporting employee inquiries, ensuring our offerings align with company goals.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day operations and administration of health and welfare benefits.
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance.
- Ensure plans meet all federal and state regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA.
- Implement and update plans and programs, creating requirements for system updates.
- Resolve employee inquiries and issues related to health and welfare plans.
- Monitor and analyze eligibility and enrollment data to identify trends and resolve issues.
- Complete billings and payments on time, performing audits for accuracy.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of combined experience in benefits, with significant expertise managing health & welfare plans.
- Demonstrated success in managing health and welfare plans and programs.
- Financial acumen: Experience managing budgets, auditing, and understanding the financial impact of benefits.
- Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, and IRS regulations. Expertise in HR systems and benefits administration platforms.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Fluent in English.
- Analytical skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to identify trends and root causes.
- Planning and execution skills: Ability to break down complex projects into actionable steps and meet deadlines.
- Organizational & Detail-Oriented Skills: Strong time management, process improvement, and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multistate worksites and an employee population of over 10k employees.
