About the Role
This role is responsible for supporting the administration of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other voluntary offerings. The coordinator ensures accurate recordkeeping, assists with compliance reporting, and serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs
- Support open enrollment periods with clear communication and resources
- Assist employees with benefits-related questions and problem resolution
- Maintain accurate benefits data in HR systems
- Coordinate life and disability insurance administration
- Process benefits changes due to qualifying life events
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Prepare reports for audits and regulatory filings
- Work with third-party vendors and insurance carriers
- Track employee eligibility and enrollment status
- Distribute required notices and disclosures
- Assist in the design and evaluation of benefits offerings
- Organize annual benefits communications and education campaigns
- Maintain up-to-date benefits documentation
- Support wellness program coordination
- Verify data accuracy between payroll and benefits systems
- Administer flexible spending and health savings accounts
- Monitor changes in benefits laws and regulations
- Provide support during employee onboarding and offboarding
- Collaborate with HR team on policy implementation
- Track and report on benefits utilization metrics
- Ensure confidentiality of employee records
- Assist with retirement plan administration tasks
- Coordinate COBRA continuation coverage processes
