Nitrado (marbis GmbH) seeks a Bakery & Confectionery Application Technologist m/f/d to serve as the expert in applying food ingredients. You will identify market trends and translate them into practical recipes, concepts, and campaigns, providing crucial technical support to advance key projects across Europe.
What You'll Do
- Develop concepts, campaigns, and recipes by leveraging a wide range of ingredients, tailoring them to local preferences.
- Provide technical support on ingredients, formulations, and processes for selected key projects.
- Enhance the expertise of Technical Sales Managers through training and in-depth technical insights.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and emphasize global trends.
- Document and share learnings from case studies, industrial trials, and ingredient testing.
- Create and communicate value propositions for selected new and existing ingredients.
- Design trial protocols and provide expertise for client lab visits.
- Visit and support key clients, conducting trials at their facilities.
- Deliver high-level technical support in close collaboration with the sales team.
- Maintain direct engagement with supplier labs to stay updated on the latest ingredient developments.
- Assess and provide recommendations regarding new suppliers or ingredients.
- Stay informed on EU regulatory and labeling requirements.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Food Technology or a comparable field with 5+ years of experience in production or product development.
- Alternatively, a vocational high school certification with 20+ years of experience in product development across a broad range of ingredients.
- In-depth technological expertise in covered segments (chocolate, coatings, compounds, baked goods, bakery enzymes, confectionery, fine bakery glazes, fillings, bars).
- Proven ability to design and execute complex experiments.
- Commitment to offering solutions and working with value-added ingredients.
- Excellent English proficiency.
- Willingness to travel approximately 60%, including regular presence in our labs.
