Varicent is hiring a Backend Software Developer to build and evolve the backend of our AI-powered ELT platform. In this remote role, you will design and scale REST APIs for high-performance data operations using Python and TypeScript (Node.js). You'll own features from conception to deployment within our remote-first, async environment.
What You'll Do
- Build and evolve our backend using Python and TypeScript (Node.js).
- Design and scale REST APIs for high-performance data operations.
- Use AWS tools like Lambda, S3, Redshift, and DynamoDB to power our platform.
- Help shape our infrastructure using Terraform and the Serverless Framework.
- Collaborate across product, design, and QA to deliver features.
What We're Looking For
- At least 4 years of experience with a backend language such as Python, Java, or C.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of designing and working with REST APIs.
- Strong English communication skills for clear collaboration in a remote setting.
