Spatial Front, Inc., a two-time USA Today Top Workplaces awardee, is looking for a Backend Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design and build scalable, secure server-side applications and services supporting Federal Government modernization programs. You will deliver mission-critical capabilities and innovative technology solutions directly to Federal Government customers.

What You'll Do

Design and develop server-side application logic, APIs, and data services using languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
Build and maintain relational and NoSQL database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
Implement microservices and service-oriented architectures following enterprise design patterns.
Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and DevOps engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure code quality and reliability.
Optimize application performance through profiling, caching strategies, and query tuning.
Adhere to secure coding practices and participate in security code reviews.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in backend development.
Demonstrated expertise in server-side programming, database design, API development, microservices, and performance optimization.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.

Nice to Have

AWS Certified Developer or equivalent cloud certification.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
Experience developing backend services for DoD or federal agency programs.
