NTT DATA is hiring an Azure Senior Engineer to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. You will be responsible for supporting high-availability database environments, providing 24/7 production support, and working independently on projects and proofs of concept. What You'll Do
- Support traditional server-based relational databases (SQL Server and PostgreSQL) in public cloud environments.
- Plan, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot high-availability database environments (Always-On, Clustering, Mirroring, etc.).
- Set up health-checks and troubleshoot SQL backups, restores, and recovery models.
- Work on On-Call rotations and provide 24*7 shift hours support at L2/L3 level.
- Work independently in a project scenario and do proofs of concept (POCs).
- Update KB articles, Problem Management articles, and SOPs/runbooks.
- Perform capacity planning, DR setup, and new environment setup projects.
- Report weekly to management about abnormalities and critical issues; provide root cause analysis and recommendations.
- Work with infrastructure team, application team and/or other teams for problem resolutions, following the escalation path if needed.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of overall operational experience.
- 3+ years of Azure/GCP experience as a cloud DBA (SQL and PostgreSQL).
- 3+ years of experience working in diverse cloud support database environments in a 24*7 production support model.
- Azure fundamentals certification (AZ-900).
- Google Cloud Engineer certification.
- B.Tech/BE/MCA in Information Technology degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently, with little or no direct supervision.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of database experience in SQL Server 2008/2012/above versions.
- 2+ years of database experience in postgresql all versions as secondary skill.
- Knowledge of MySQL, Azure SQL, MI instances, GCP instances.
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL.
- Experience with python / powershell scripting.
- Secondary skill in MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Azure Database Certification (DP-300).
- AWS Certified Database Specialty.
- MCTS, MCITP, OCP certifications.
