Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and sustain cloud resources in Azure such as virtual machines, virtual networks, storage solutions, identity services, and platform-as-a-service offerings.
- Oversee and enhance networking elements in Azure including virtual networks, network security groups, load balancing, and private connectivity through VPN or ExpressRoute.
- Create and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, which is a required skill highlighted by the hiring team.
- Enable automation workflows using scripting tools like PowerShell and Bash, along with configuration files in YAML and JSON, within GitLab CI/CD environments.
- Set up, customize, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, session hosts, FSLogix profile storage, and integrations with Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues for end users of Azure Virtual Desktop, a key requirement from the client.
- Develop, sustain, and debug continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using GitLab.
- Automate routine cloud management tasks, system configurations, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency.
- Enforce secure cloud configurations in line with federal security policies, including role-based access control, Key Vault, identity and access management, and encryption protocols.
- Maintain adherence to federal compliance frameworks such as NIST, Risk Management Framework, FedRAMP, and specific agency security controls.
- Utilize monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to assess system performance, detect problems, and uphold service level agreements.
- Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams to advance cloud transformation initiatives.
- Participate in on-site meetings and joint work sessions with customer representatives, as prolonged remote work is not permitted for this position.
