Responsibilities
- Deliver cloud operations and engineering functions to improve, support, and sustain scalable, reliable, and secure AWS-based solutions
- Execute ongoing operations, maintenance, and support tasks in the AWS cloud to ensure peak performance, security, and user experience
- Formulate strategic cloud direction and long-term plans in alignment with business goals and technical needs
- Regularly assess new cloud technologies to increase automation and evaluate effects on program and organizational objectives
- Promote and lead the implementation of DevOps methods, infrastructure as code, and automated frameworks
- Enhance reliability and performance of applications deployed in cloud environments
- Assist in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure cloud architectures based on zero-trust and layered defense principles
- Maintain adherence to compliance standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS, as well as regulatory mandates
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud network security mechanisms, including compliance with STIG guidelines
- Implement identity and access management systems and establish security monitoring infrastructures
- Guide client teams through onboarding processes and establish standardized paths for cloud adoption
- Evaluate existing legacy platforms and create modernization approaches involving containerization and microservices
- Assist in building migration strategies and ensure smooth transitions with limited business impact
- Administer and fine-tune AWS cloud setups, including networking, virtual private networks, infrastructure-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, and SQL platforms
- Build and sustain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows using tools like Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole to enable DevSecOps
- Convert applications into containerized formats to improve scalability and deployment speed
- Support the creation and deployment of shared service platforms
- Set up and resolve issues in cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software environments
- Deploy and manage both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring high performance and stability
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation to aid development and operational workflows
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams such as development, operations, security, and product management
- Develop reference models, architectural patterns, and technical guidelines for cloud deployments

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
