Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Remediation Analytics (L10) to join our Remediation Center of Excellence. Reporting to the AVP, Remediation Analytics Lead, you will be a key player in major remediation projects with a specialized focus on Credit functions. Your work will provide the analytic platform to drive and manage these critical initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Develop advanced SAS and/or SQL code, Visual Basic macros, or other query tools specifically for remediation analytics.
- Partner with FRCs and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, ask probing questions, and build analytics solutions to identify impacted populations and harm.
- Escalate roadblocks to leadership promptly and work to resolve them.
- Minimize defects by utilizing standard code sets, ensuring all certification and validation requirements are met prior to submission.
- Support audits by documenting code, analytic outcomes, and extracting necessary data.
- Implement controls to ensure the accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
- Manage multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously, establishing priorities and coordinating work.
- Analyze existing remediation analytic processes and technology to present recommendations for improvement.
- Support best-in-class analytic solutions and algorithms, providing insight for various initiatives.
- Share critical experiences and best practices across the Remediation Center of Excellence and provide timely updates on project progression.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a consumer finance & banking organization, or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- 4+ years of experience specifically in the Analytics domain.
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on SAS programming experience.
- Solid working knowledge of Unix and Excel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work hours that complement the US time zone, with some degree of overlap.
Nice to Have
- Experience with and knowledge of Credit data and its lifecycle.
- Deep experience working on various Regulatory Reporting and Remediation Projects.
- A big-picture understanding of Credit Card processes and the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with advanced Analytical techniques.
