What You'll Do

  • Ensure contract compliance with company guidelines within an assigned area.
  • Handle financials including accounts receivable, invoicing, and pricing support.
  • Maintain client knowledge, including threatened status and relationship with the company.
  • Manage the renewal process timely and negotiate new contracts.
  • Oversee business planning and budgeting.
  • Plan for staffing needs, including succession, bench-strength, and new business.
  • Support client relationships; build executive relationships; support internal relationships.
  • Support business development.
  • Support the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travel as required.
  • Administer company personnel policies and follow staffing standards and training recommendations.
  • Interview, hire, and establish colleague performance development plans; conduct performance reviews.
  • Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to promote maximum performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of Account Executive experience on national accounts.
  • Five (5) years of claims/supervisory experience.
  • In-depth understanding of workers compensation, liability, and disability.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Leadership/management/motivational skills.
  • Analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
  • Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion.
  • Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Computer keyboarding, travel as required.
  • Hearing, vision and talking.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major in Risk Management, Business Administration or Finance.
  • Advanced degree and/or professional designations (CPCU, AIC, ARM).
