Scarpel Telecom is hiring an Automation Engineer to design and maintain our automated tests and testing infrastructure. You will be the driving force behind integrating automated tests into our development workflow and mentoring the team in automation best practices.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain automated tests and testing infrastructure
- Integrate automated tests into the development workflow
- Mentor the team in automation best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure tests can be written efficiently, run consistently, and reported accurately
What We're Looking For
- Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as JavaScript or Python
- Consideration of how work might scale in the coming weeks, months, and years
- Understanding of the technological and cultural components needed to roll out automation across an engineering organization
- Proven experience managing large automated test suites and ensuring they provide a clean signal
- Driven to resolve root issues rather than re-running tests
Nice to Have
- Proven experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with experience fostering collaboration in cross-functional teams
- Successfully built automation for desktop application performance analysis
- Experience with Renewed Vision products, live event production, or video/graphics/sports production
- Expertise in turning test results into insightful and actionable dashboards with tools like Splunk or Tableau
