Evernorth (Cigna Health Solutions India Private Limited) is looking for an Automation Engineer Associate Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, support, and execution of the actuarial medical underwriting calculation platform – HealthRatingEngine. You will drive DevOps best practices, enhance automation, and ensure the platform's performance and stability.
What You'll Do
- Develop, support, and execute the actuarial medical underwriting calculation platform – HealthRatingEngine.
- Learn and understand the HealthRatingEngine architecture, infrastructure, and actuarial models.
- Maintain and add to the existing test automation framework.
- Develop custom tools to aid Actuarial Modelers with development and testing.
- Create and maintain comprehensive performance and functional test strategies and test suites.
- Seek opportunities to improve performance and stability via development of new processes, tools, and vendor products.
- Recommend, build, and maintain a best-in-class DevOps pipeline.
- Champion software delivery best practices.
- Drive team to adapt automation testing and integration with CI/CD tools for continuous validation and deployment.
- Drive the mentality of product quality being owned by the entire team.
- Identify code smells and work with modeler to address quality or performance issues in product code.
- Find bottlenecks in existing code through the use of monitoring tools and hands-on analysis.
- Meet deadlines working independently and directing others, escalate to management as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in DevOps or Development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of software development and testing techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of issues in a complex system.
- Understanding of container strategies, Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes or similar.
- Understanding of AWS Infrastructure (EKS).
- Demonstrated skill using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews.
- 3+ years of experience developing in scripting and/or object oriented languages such as Java, C/C++, .NET/C#, Python, Perl, and JavaScript, BASH.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
- Demonstrated experience in DevOps/Testing tools such as Jenkins, Conduit, ARGOCD Git, Selenium, Robot framework or similar.
- Understanding of HELM Charts, YAML configuration and the like.
- Experience using scanning and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, SonarQube, Fortify, Veracode or similar.
- Experience developing queries and reports for Splunk, to interrogate and extract logged data and monitor applications performance, stability, bottlenecks.
- Prior experience with multi-threaded applications.
- Innate ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
Nice to Have
- Any knowledge of Actuarial methods or tools such as FJA Product Machine, OCL.
- Knowledge of Jupyter or similar notebook coding.
