Coast Professional, Inc. is hiring an Auditor I to ensure company compliance with client contracts, federal regulations, and internal rules. You will conduct detailed internal audits and control reviews, primarily within the Information Technology and Operations departments, evaluating policies, procedures, and work instructions.

What You'll Do

• Review workflows and work instructions to understand correct process execution.
• Ensure client contract requirements are being met.
• Audit assigned processes to confirm compliance with documented workflows.
• Identify errors where processes are not running in compliance.
• Report errors to the management team as defined.
• Initiate non-conformities within the compliance management system.
• Review corrective actions for accuracy and non-conformities for remediation.
• Review operational emails and notifications to determine if account errors are isolated or widespread and report findings.
• Initiate and review reports from client systems, internal systems, and other sources to identify potential system deficiencies.
• Provide support to other areas of the compliance department when needed.

What We're Looking For

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in collections or a related profession is required.
• Knowledge of collection practices.
• Familiarity with IT functions.
• High aptitude for problem solving, analyzing data, and interpreting contractual agreements.
• Highly organized, able to work independently, motivated to meet deadlines, detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy, and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically proficient in Excel.
• Display a high level of professionalism, integrity, and maturity.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment (post-offer) background check.
• U.S. citizenship and a security clearance granting access to classified information are required.

Nice to Have

• A Bachelor’s degree is desirable. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted.
• Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL), with prior experience applying SQL in data analysis, reporting, or IT-related activities.
• Experience with student loan collections.
• Demonstrated experience working with technology using critical and analytical thinking.
