National General is looking for an Attorney Represented Moderate Bodily Injury Adjuster to investigate and resolve automobile accident claims involving property damage and/or bodily injury where an attorney or litigation is involved. You'll join a team dedicated to a caring, empowering, and restoring claims culture, leading with empathy to protect families from life's uncertainties.
What You'll Do
- Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involved.
- Assess coverage, liability, and damages.
- Provide exceptional customer service through voice calls, email, and text messages.
- Engage in negotiation processes to reach fair and timely injury settlements with all parties involved.
- Handle a high volume of pending cases.
- Handle third-party casualty adjusting, first-party collision, and third-party property damage claims.
- Perform detailed reviews of damage and interpret policies to determine coverage.
- Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers, and claimants.
- Utilize multiple tools including estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the claims system.
What We're Looking For
- Must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
- Not available to residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
- As a condition of employment, may be required to obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license within 60 days of hire.
Nice to Have
- Prior represented third-party casualty claim handling experience is highly preferred.
- Ohio and/or Connecticut casualty claims experience highly preferred.
- Prior litigation claims experience a plus.
- Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, while managing time efficiently.
- Proficient knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, liability determination, and state regulations.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite a plus.
